Receipts, contract pages, and worksheets turn into headaches when a page is missing or upside down. A short checklist beats reshooting later.
Capture
Use enough resolution to read the smallest text. Skip the maximum DPI by default. Grayscale is often smaller when color is not required.
Keep all four corners in frame and fingers out. Shoot or scan in final reading order.
Redo crooked pages on the spot, or fix them later with Image Rotate.
Build the PDF
When the images are ready, use Images to PDF. Confirm the page count matches the paper stack.
If the file is still huge, compress the images first or try PDF Compress on the result. Outcomes vary by scan content.
When only a few pages should leave your desk, split after you build the PDF instead of sending the whole sensitive packet.
Last look before you send
Check the first page, one middle page, and the last page. Watch for blanks, duplicates, and upside-down sheets.
Name the file with the topic and date. Keep paper originals or an untreated scan backup for important documents.
Building and compressing run in your local browser and are not uploaded to our servers. Clear Downloads on shared computers when you finish.
