Some portals want images. Sometimes you only need one figure. Decide whether the output is for screen or print before converting a whole PDF.
Choosing settings
For slides and on-screen reading, mid DPI around 120–150 with JPEG or WebP is often enough. Raise DPI for tiny text.
Photo-like pages work well as JPEG or WebP. Line art and formulas may look better as PNG. Use grayscale when color is not needed.
Very high DPI balloons file size and can stall a phone browser. Test one or two pages before exporting the whole document.
Workflow
Split out the pages you need first. That uses less memory than rendering an entire document at high DPI.
If outputs are still large, use Image Compress or Batch Resize. Restack with Images to PDF when required.
Unlock encrypted PDFs first. Files are processed in your local browser. Large page counts take a bit of time.
Include page numbers in filenames so you can redo a single page later.
Nothing is uploaded to our servers. Lock in settings on a sample, then run the full export so you do not repeat heavy high-DPI work.
